Thoughts on Sun Valley

I have to say bravo to the publicity people who have worked for Sun Valley, specifically Steve Hannigan and those who have followed since. Sun Valley is not much more than desert, mountains, condos, ranches, and a river. Now mind you, I enjoyed some parts of the area, but I have a feeling the winter is more of a prized possession to Sun Valley than is the summer.

my todo list

✓ see some moose (too dark for a picture)
✓ see a bald eagle (forgot my camera)
✓ watch a spider spin a web (the spider took over an hour to do it)
✓ jump my mountain bike over a boulder (i don’t know how i could have taken that picture)
✓ take a picture that would remind me of Ansel Adams.

Cooling off in the Sierras

The previous week’s temperature peaked into the 100s in Napa. I was hoping that moving up to a higher elevation might be a bit cooler. Well I was right, Cisco Grove near Donner Pass had a high yesterday around 75. Nice.

I have found on my travels that some of the best places are marked very clearly. Lets take a look at what I found!
